Welcome to the Mesa District! 

District Profile

The Mesa District proudly serves the community of Mesa, Arizona. Our district mirrors the boundaries of the Mesa Public School district. The southeastern portion of Mesa (south of Baseline Road), is served by the Superstition District.

In 2009, the Mesa District served 7,910Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers and participants through 579 Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity Scout teams, Venturing crews, and Learning for Life groups in collaboration with school groups, community organizations and civic groups.

The primary purpose of the Mesa District is to help Scouting units succeed by helping Scouting units to provide a fun, quality program.  This is accomplished through the training of enthusiastic volunteers, support of membership recruiting programs, fundraising, and activities that support the unit`s annual program.

District Merit Badge Counselor List

Because of privacy concerns, the district cannot make the list available from the website. Please forward your request for a counselor list to your district executive. Please include your name, unit number, email address, telephone number and the name of the Scoutmaster or Varsity Coach - this information will then be validated against the council`s membership roster. The list is published as an Adobe PDF document.

District Activities & Events

The Mesa District conducts various events and activities throughout the year that are designed to enhance a Scouting unit's annual program. Events include Boy Scout camporees, Cub Scout Pinewood Derbies and Cub Mobile races, and adult training courses. The district calendar lists the dates of the activities and provides additional event information. On-line registration may also be available for selected events.
